Work with an experienced team in a growing market. Position would be a mix of customer service and operations with a focus on document handling and data management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform all aspects of customer service meeting all company goals and expectations.
Document imaging and data entry.
Dispatching, routing and rating shipment files.
Works with cartage provider, carriers and Lynden International operational staff on resolving warehouse, cartage, and other logistics issues.
Vendor negotiations for price and service and customer quoting for individual shipments as well as large comprehensive RFQ.
Predictable and consistent attendance.
Potentially compensated weekend on-call responsibilities based on a rotating on-call schedule.
Educations and/or Experience
High school education or equivalent and five years progressive work experience in operations, or a four-year degree plus two years customer service or freight operations experience. Business or industry degree preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as tariffs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Able to work with customers and vendors to come up with solutions that meet company expectations.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Good organizations skills.
Primarily works with computer and phone but, occasionally may need to work in and around warehouse. Ability to lift 40# a requirement.
