SUMMARY: Handles all aspects of customer service for international shipments, including daily movement of freight and documents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College degree in transportation/similar degree preferred or five years experience in international freight forwarding.
Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively present information in writing and in person in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, procedure manuals, tariffs, and professional journals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to calculate freight rates, including the effect of dimensional zed weight, and amounts such as percentages, volume, and discounts.
Ability to solve unusual problems and deal with a variety of complex or difficult situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form. Fully competent to make independent decisions.
Intermediate user of MS Office products (word, excel, access, powerpoint).
Advanced user of C2C.
Must be able to interact with sales, domestic operations, and other office personnel
Excellent organizational skills
