Performs entry, validation and routing of freight payable invoices daily. Reviews timekeeping system and processes semi-monthly payroll transmittal.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree preferred; B.A. or B.S. in accounting a plus. 2-3 years related transportation preferably in freight billing and/or freight payable; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers using verbal and written communication. Most communication will be via phone and MS Outlook. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer and scanner.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is quiet in the office to very loud in the barge operation.
