  • Overview

    Sells and markets Lynden's services to existing and prospective businesses with emphasis on domestic and international revenue and market share growth by performing the following duties:


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

    • Responsible for developing and managing new and existing accounts within the assigned geographic territory/industry verticals.
    • Develop new customer opportunities in Lynden’s strategic markets.
    • Generate interest and grow Lynden services with current customers.
    • Collaborate with other Lynden divisions to maximize revenues.
    • Analyze customer data to develop strategies to meet required sales targets.
    • Carry out customer sales contact within assigned territory/industry verticals.
    • Provide market intelligence to Lynden.
    • Strengthen customer relationships.
    • Develop partnerships with service team members.
    • Develop and maintain the Target Account Pipeline.
    • Maintains timely sales activity and expense reporting.
    • Coordinates and confers with Sales Management to achieve sales goals.
    • Consistent and predictible attendance required.

    Minimum of 1 year experience selling Freight Forwarding services (Domestic and International Air, Ocean) Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four year College or University a plus;  or one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.  High School/GED diploma required.


    Ability to read, analyze and interpret tariffs, general business periodicals, professional journals and manuals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.


    Ability to calculate and apply concepts such as dimensionalized weight, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.


    Strong analytical and quantitative skills, Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


    Familiar with word processing, spreadsheet, and data base programs.


    Must be able to travel to customer's locations locally and fly for overnight trips.
