Entry level for learning the basics of service center operations. Work assigned is planned to provide experience and familiarization with policies, procedures, protocol, terminology and systems pertaining to operations. Works under close supervision; work is guided by specific and frequent instructions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS TO INCLUDE (but not limited to):
Receive, load, unload, and transfer freight shipments to and from a variety of containers, trailers, trucks, and non-commercial vehicles using forklift or by hand within or in the vicinity of CFS warehouse facility and/or surrounding yard.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent; one-to-three months of related experience and/or training in general freight operations.
LANGUAGE AND SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, managers, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two digit numbers.
Ability to understand detailed written and oral instructions; ability to prioritize and problem-solve in time/safety-sensitive situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift certification for operating fork trucks with lifting capacities between 3,000# and 8,000#.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to work well under pressure and handle demanding customer needs.
