Prepares and reviews federal, state, local and foreign tax returns (income, sales & use, B&O, GST, VAT) for corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and not-for-profit organizations. Prepares tax provisions and estimated payments. Responsibilities include tax research, other tax issues and special projects as they arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures that the organization complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements.
Assist with the preparation of tax provision calculations and analysis
Represent organization before taxing authorities and agencies.
Examines accounts and records and computes taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations.
Advise management regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liability.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and four or more years of tax related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ASC740 tax provision experience preferred. CPA preferred
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business contracts and periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and tax and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to apply mathematical financial and statistical concepts such as used in financial analysis and operations modeling. Examples include the application of present value and amortization calculations, correlation techniques, sampling theory and basic concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work with others, to include the acceptance of advice and the ability to "coach" others.
