Overview

Lynden Logistics, Inc. is looking for someone who is highly organized and detail oriented to join our dynamic accounts receivable/special billing team! We are looking for an individual who has the ability to handle interruptions and shift priorities with ease. If this describes you…then you are the person we are looking for. You will be with a team of four highly motivated team members, provide support to our third party accounts receivable and collection team, as well as support for the billing department and various other departments in a corporate environment.

The Lynden Accounts Receivable and Special Billing team works with various companies within our managed company structure, collaborating with many employees across departments, service centers system wide, as well as companies within the Lynden family.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is a key member of the team, supporting all functions of our accounts receivable and special billing department, executives and service centers system-wide. Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to work independently, and working as a team player is required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform various duties related to accounts receivable and cash receipts
  • Perform various cash receipt processing and reconciliations for a wide variety of Lynden International Logistics Co Clients
  • Perform various reconciliations on Lynden Logistics, Inc. customers' cash receipts
  • Assists with invoice preparation and mailings to various customers, including working on various portals for invoicing.
  • Effectively communicates with internal departments and customers to resolve any Accounts Receivable-related issues
  • Tracks requested data, and maintains established spreadsheets intended for use by those outside the Accounts Receivable group
  • Researches and resolves problems, and documents communications to customer
  • Responds to incoming customer inquiries that pertain to accounts receivable and/or client collections
  • Works with various systems and spreadsheets to produce documents and research for clients and clients' customers
  • Consistent and dependable attendance necessary.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

1-2 years of accounts receivable experience preferred. High School graduate or equivalent required.

 

Detail Oriented

Strong attention to detail, high quality of work and accuracy no matter how large or small the task. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.

 

Organized

Outstanding time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

 

Communication

Excellent written, oral and active listening skills

 

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, 10 key proficiency a plus.

 

Collaboration

Able to work effectively with other employees, departments and companies, both in person and virtually

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

Environment

Corporate office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, reach, handle, and use supplies, objects and tools.

 

Work Schedule

This is an in office position, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this job.
