SUMMARY
As an EDI Manager you will oversee a team of software developers responsible for design, development, and execution of B2B data interchange strategies, oversee all aspects of electronic data interchange (EDI) daily operations and coordinate EDI initiatives for Lynden.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute daily operational tasks necessary to transmit and receive EDI/B2B transactions and troubleshoot transmission errors working in conjunction with trading partners, the IT team and business stakeholders.
Coordinate with new and existing trading partners as well as third party processors to analyze specifications, determine feasibility, cost estimates, design and develop maps, establish communication protocols, and lead testing and onboarding activities.
Partner with IT management in development and implementation of an EDI/B2B strategy to support organizational initiatives. Collaborate with the IT application team to enhance and optimize the integration between B2B software and its primary data source (ERP system).
Responsible for scheduling, oversee implementation, escalation point of contact for EDI projects, coordinating necessary resources and communicating with Lynden customers, Lynden operating company personnel, and other interested parties.
Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are meet and adhering to approved budgets.
Provides training and post installation support for customers, coworkers and other IT support personnel.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of EDI processes and technical configuration.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training EDI software developers; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in related field and six years programming experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Strong interpersonal and communications skills to facilitate work with technical personnel and business managers/administrators. Required skills include the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; and effectively present information to management, customers, and the general public.
